I have been collecting Susan's artwork for over a year. It began with a passion for her use of color and the whimsical, joyful nature that each brush stroke invokes. It was as if her paintings could pull me from places that were stormy and sometimes dark.
My love for her work grew as I learned more about her life. Susan lives on a 40 acre ranch in Cabool, Missouri. Her ranch is devoted to the rescue and life long care of abandoned, neglected and abused animals. The proceeds from her paintings go to the care and maintenance of these marvelous animals allowing them a safe, loving sanctuary.
Susan's artistic inspiration comes from her daily musings with these animal friends which include everything from a Pot Bellied pig named "Hula" to a comical donkey named "Jazzbo". You will frequently find her paintings depicting "A Day on the Ranch" and her main character is likely to be some critter who got into mischief that week.
I invite you to smile, laugh and sigh as you experience Susan's talent and the joy and celebration these animals bring to her life and all of ours.
